Biography
Gil Cambule acts as a leading Litigation and Arbitration counsel for many of the key players in the technology, energy, medical services, postal and banking industries in Mozambique. Before founding CA, Gil Cambule led, for twelve years, the Litigation and Arbitration practice in one of the major law firms in the country.
Gil Cambule is an arbitrator registered at the Maputo Arbitration and Mediation Centre (the only arbitration institution in Mozambique), with a busy schedule in commercial proceedings.
- PhD in Law at the Eduardo Mondlane University, in partnership with the University of Lisbon (ongoing);
- Postgraduation in Digital Services – Electronic Commerce Law by the Private Law Research Centre of the Law School of the University of Lisbon;
- Training in Arbitration Law and in Personal Data Protection Law at the CIDiP (Research Centre for Private Law) of the University of Lisbon (2021);
- Master’s Degree in Law at the Eduardo Mondlane University, in partnership of the University of Lisbon (2015);
- Degree in Law at the Law School of the Eduardo Mondlane University (2008).
- Mozambique Bar Association (Member of the Legal Board);
- Member of the Internationalisation Committee (Mozambique) of the Commercial Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
- Member of the Lusophone Association of Arbitration and Mediation;

- Recognized in the Band 2 (Dispute Resolution) category by the prestigious international directory CHAMBERS, which, in its 2022 edition states that Gil Cambule maintains a solid reputation in the area of dispute resolution, especially in matters involving civil law and arbitration. He is experienced in advising on financial, corporate, and employment matters. He is retained by major players within Mozambique, notably in the banking, energy and telecommunications sectors;
